Lucknow, May 21, 2025 — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a high-level review meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress and implementation of various government schemes dedicated to the empowerment of Backward Classes and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The session focused on improving inclusivity, ensuring better outreach, and accelerating development across the state for marginalized communities.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for efficient execution of welfare schemes, urging departments to adopt a result-oriented approach. He reiterated the government's commitment to social justice, equity, and the upliftment of every underprivileged section of society. “No eligible citizen should be left out from the benefits of our schemes,” he asserted.
Key Highlights from the Review Meeting

Scholarship disbursements for students from backward classes and disabled communities were closely examined. The CM instructed officials to ensure timely distribution and to eliminate procedural bottlenecks.

Yogi Adityanath called for the integration of digital platforms to track beneficiaries, monitor progress, and enhance transparency in all welfare programs.

The Chief Minister stressed on the need to strengthen self-employment initiatives, including providing subsidized loans, skill development training, and special incentives for entrepreneurs from backward and disabled categories.

He also reviewed the status of housing and pension schemes tailored for these communities and directed officials to expedite pending cases.

A focus was placed on inclusive education and vocational training centers to increase employability among PwDs and backward class youth.
Government’s Vision for Inclusive Growth
Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed the Uttar Pradesh government’s vision to create an inclusive and equitable society by empowering the most vulnerable populations. He highlighted the success of several flagship schemes under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the Backward Classes Welfare Department.
Officials were directed to coordinate at the district level for better implementation and to conduct awareness drives so beneficiaries are well-informed about the schemes available to them.
